Updating Email Addresses in Thunderbird 24.5

This easy guide will help you update your email password and/or settings on your Thunderbird App.
 

Step 1. Select the three bars on the right side of Thunderbird. 

  • Select Options, then Account Settings.

  • Select Server Settings. 

 

Step 4. Update your INCOMING MAIL SERVER's information:

  • If you are updating/verifying server settings- verify they are as follows
    • Imcoming Mail Server Host Name- mail.mydirectlink.net
    • Username is your FULL email address

Step 5. Update your OUTGOING MAIL SERVER settings/password:

  • Click on Outgoing Server (SMTP) on the lefthand side.

  • Click edit.


     
  • To update/verify server settings- verify they are as follows
    • Incoming Mail Server Host Name- smtp.mydirectlink.net
    • Username is your FULL email address
    • Make sure SSL is enabled
    • Server Port should be 465
  • Click OK.
