Updating Email Server Settings/Passwords in Outlook 2010/2013
This guide will help you set up your Outlook 2010 or 2013 email program to receive and send email using your new advanced account settings.
Step 1. Navigate to your Account Settings.
- Open Outlook 2010/2013 and Select File in the top left
- Select Account Settings
- From the dropdown, Select Account Settings...
- From the popup window, Select Change
Step 2. Verify/Edit your email server settings and/or password here
- Verify/edit your server settings and/or password here
- Email Address: Full email address
- Account Type: IMAP
- Incoming mail server: mail.ntin.net
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.ntin.net
- User Name: Full email address
- Password: Email Password
- Next, select More Settings...
- Select the Outgoing Server tab and verify the
- Select the checkbox, "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication"
- Select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server"
- Select the Advanced tab and verify port numbers and encryption type
- Incoming server (IMAP): 993
- Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
- Outgoing server (SMTP): 465 or 587
- Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
- Select OK
- Select Next
- Select Finish
